COMERCIO MUNDI

In 1984 Comercio Mundi opened its doors in an effort to establish a strong packaged goods distribution channel that would reach across the country as Nicaragua found itself recovering from years of civil unrest. As the industry normalized in Nicaragua, Mundi, having had established itself as a major player in industrial and HBC supply across the country, began expanding its distribution reach into the rest of Central America and eventually covering much of South America as well.

Mundi spent the early 90’s focusing more and more on the hotel, tourism, and entertainment industry. Servicing areas such as Rio de Janeiro, Cartagena de Indias, Buenos Aires, many cities in Mexico, as well as many of the Islands in the Caribbean.

GROWTH & EXPANSION

In 2015 Latin America saw 97 million international tourist arrivals, with the majority coming from English speaking countries. Mundi, recognizing the incredible demand for US products, decided to open a purchasing branch in the United States in 2017 aiming to alleviate some of the strain of purchasing American products caused by currency exchange as well as much of the sociopolitical situations that many of Latin American countries still face today.

Today, Mundi is a multifaceted international distributor with 7 distribution centers across Latin America and over 18,000 accounts who’s focus, as it has been since day one, is to provide excellent customer support in all facets while helping suppliers reach difficult markets.
